[Persephone's kneeling in her own private garden, and she's rather surrounded by rose bushes that are doing their odd lean in towards her.]

I do not understand this Halloween holiday. I have seen it spoken to as a harvest festival, and while the Harvest is a wonderful thing to celebrate... I do not approve of these childish notions that I have seen.

Honoring the Gods is the proper thing to do; it pleases us. Someone explain this trick-or-treat.

[Persephone tended to skip a fair amount of meals. When one became trapped in hell because you'd eaten a pomegranate seed... it tended to sour one on the experience. The fact that eating the food wouldn't lock her into being here was put into her contract, but that didn't help anything. She swept into the dining hall, wearing her normal rather outlandish goth inspired clothing and she looked for Steph Brown whom she was meant to be having lunch with.]

[ Persephone is easy enough to spot entering the dining hall, where Steph was already waiting for her. She waved her over with a small smile. It's weird to think she's having lunch with a Greek goddess, but friends are friends, and she needs all the friends she can get here. ]

[When there was the wave and the small smile, Persephone had responded with a much larger one. By the River Styx was going to be good at meeting people, being as she was going to be here for longer than she had attempted. Quickly she headed over to the blond woman and sat down. The time on the barge had given her the knowledge that 'hey' was a greeting, and she nodded quickly.]

Hey. [The word was spoken uncertainly, as if she was testing if for the right tone.] I am going to request more from the Admiral soon. I am quite fond of chocolate.

Who isn't? Well, who except for Atia. But I guess she just hasn't tried it yet, because no one in their right mind can hate chocolate.

[ She takes a sip of her water, wondering why what a Greek goddess thinks is so great about little old her. ]

[There was a smile on her face when Stephanie mentioned that Atia simply hadn't tried it yet.]

She has now. She came over to visit with me last night and I introduced her to it. Her reaction was quite amusing.

[And it had been, because it was nice to see mortals so happy.] I understand costumes are needed for trick-or-treat. What are you thinking of dressing as?

In a good way or a bad way? [ She laughs. ]

I haven't thought about it that much. When I was really little I always wanted to dress up like a superhero, but that seems kind of juvenile now, I think.
