If I were as much of a monster as they were and for one day, I became a good man again, I would want someone to rescue me from having to return to what I was. Can you imagine what it must be like? Being as sane as you or me one day and knowing that tomorrow the Barge might change... everything you are and trap you as someone disgusting that destroys people for personal gain for the rest of your life? Knowing that the person that wants to do good isn't who you are, but just a fleeting aberration?

My father used to say that the real agony of the damned wasn't their physical suffering, but the knowledge that they deserved it.

I do not think that going into people's minds and not giving them a choice is the answer.

Arthas, if you remove the choice between good and evil, then how will you define one or the other?

It's practically spelled out for us, here. We're in the right. Anyone who does what the wardens do or sides with their behavior is not. Sometimes war requires extreme action to prevent more suffering. Think... just think about all of the people that they've damaged, Goddess. All of the lives have been ruined and souls have been damned. Turnabout is fair play. They don't give inmates a choice. If they can't respect our right to be free then we can retaliate in kind without flinching.

They already have done it to some people. This is just giving them a taste of their own medicine. And it's better - because I'm saving them instead of damning them. Even though they don't deserve to be saved.
