I do not approve of it either. Wardens are here with a job to do. Leaving before it's done is selfish; allowing inmates to leave before it's done is cruel.

He is clearly a member of my family, I find myself more and more drawn to this belief.

That makes sense. As for me, I find myself drawn to the belief that he is me. Either an alternate version of me or I set up some horribly complex spell that did all this when I was still alive.
