My home is girded by a mighty forest. Trees so ancient and vital that they make me look young. The forest has always been there; the country was named for it. Some nights, even when I was not hunting, I would simply fly over it for miles and miles. My eyes see heat, and so in the dark that whole black expanse was alive with jewels of light. On Walpurgis Night we would hunt the forest, flying over it in vast flocks while mortals hid in their homes. Then we would go back to my palace for a celebration....
